Terms of use

1. What DoChron is

DoChron is a telemetry app for karting and motorcycle racing. With your phone, it downloads the sessions recorded on your equipment (AiM loggers such as MyChron and Solo 2, over the device's Wi-Fi, or GoPro Hero 9, 10, 11 and 13 with GPS), shows where you lose time and lets you compare laps with other drivers and riders.

On a computer, the import website reads your Race Studio history right in your browser.

Lap times, speeds, braking and other numbers in the app are calculated from your equipment's data and GPS and may contain errors. They are meant for training and analysis; they are not official timing.

2. Account and minimum age

You sign in with Apple, Google or a code sent to your email. Each account is personal: use true information and do not share access. Keep your email and your Apple or Google accounts secure, because anyone with access to them can sign in to your DoChron account.

You must be at least 13 years old to use DoChron. People under 18 may only use it with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the use of the account.

3. Plans

Free: no time limit and no charge, with the basic features for uploading and analyzing sessions, groups and sharing with a watermark.

Pro: a monthly or yearly subscription that unlocks the advanced features (for example, comparing with other drivers, ideal lap, multi-lap Replay 3D and history).

Track pass: a one-time purchase that unlocks Pro features for one session you choose, forever. The pass does not renew and does not turn into a subscription. If the session is sent to another driver and they accept it, the pass goes with it.

The features of each plan may be adjusted over time. The price and what is included are shown in the app and in the store before each purchase.

4. Pro free trial

Every new account starts with a 14-day free Pro trial, with no card and no automatic charge. When the trial ends, the account goes back to Free unless you subscribe.

The free trial is available once per person. Creating another account with the same email or the same Apple or Google account, including after deleting your account, does not give a new trial.

5. Payment, renewal and cancellation

Purchases are made and charged by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google), with your store account and under the store's terms. We use RevenueCat to know the status of purchases. We do not receive or store your card details.

The Pro subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (month or year) until you cancel. To cancel, use the subscriptions area of the App Store or Google Play, within the store's deadline (on the App Store, at least 24 hours before renewal). Cancelling stops the next charge; Pro stays active until the end of the period already paid.

Uninstalling the app or deleting your account does not cancel the subscription.

6. Refunds and right of withdrawal

Because payment happens in the store, refunds are decided and issued by Apple or Google, under their rules. Request them on Apple's support site (reportaproblem.apple.com) or in Google Play (order history).

The right of withdrawal under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (art. 49), 7 days from the purchase, is exercised through that same refund request in the store. If you have trouble, contact us through the channels in section 17.

7. Your sessions and your data

Your sessions are yours. You allow us to store, process and display this data only to provide the service: calculating laps and corners, building charts and the Replay 3D, and showing sessions to the people you choose.

We also use laps from many drivers, in aggregate and without showing who is who, to draw track and corner maps and to calculate each driver's relative position at a track.

The original files from your equipment (XRK, XRZ and GoPro videos) stay on your phone or computer. The server only keeps processed telemetry, at 10 samples per second. Details are in the Privacy Policy (dochron.com/en/privacy).

8. Sharing, groups and sending sessions

A share link shows the session to anyone who has the link, until you turn it off. On the Free plan, the shared page carries the DoChron watermark.

In private groups, your best lap goes into the group ranking, visible to the other members. Racing line, speed and Replay 3D only appear for the sessions you share in the group. The invite link shows the group name, the creator's name, the tracks and a ranking preview with initials and positions only, without times.

When you send a session to another driver (for example, from coach to student), it moves to the recipient's account once they accept it and leaves yours. A send that is not accepted within 30 days expires.

You are responsible for what you share and for the names and images you add to groups and to your profile.

9. Acceptable use

You may not:

• upload other people's sessions without their permission;
• try to access accounts, sessions or data that are not yours;
• get around plan limits, purchases, the free trial or security measures;
• use bots, scraping or reverse engineering of the app or the server, except where the law allows it;
• use names, photos or text that are offensive, illegal or infringe the rights of others;
• use DoChron to mislead others, for example by altering lap times to look real.

10. Safety on track

DoChron is an analysis tool to use before and after you ride or drive. Do not handle your phone while on track, and always follow the rules of the circuit and the organizers. Riding and driving decisions and the risks of the activity are yours; no suggestion in the app guarantees safety or results.

11. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep DoChron online, but the service may have interruptions, maintenance or failures, including at providers such as the stores, hosting and maps. Features may change, be added or be removed.

Downloading sessions depends on your equipment, its firmware and your phone. We do not guarantee compatibility with models or versions that are not listed as supported in the app.

12. Liability

We are liable for the service under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage caused by use outside these terms, by failures of your equipment, phone, internet connection or third-party services, or for the loss of files that are kept only on your device. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law guarantees to consumers.

13. Intellectual property

The app, the website, the DoChron brand, the screen design and the software belong to us or are licensed to us. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use DoChron while these terms are in force. Satellite imagery on the maps belongs to Google and its providers, with the attribution shown on the map.

14. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time (dochron.com/en/delete-account). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, with prior notice whenever possible. If DoChron is discontinued, we will give advance notice in the app or by email.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date of the last update is at the top of the page. We will give advance notice of relevant changes in the app or by email; if you keep using DoChron after they take effect, they apply to you. If you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, including the Consumer Protection Code and the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). The courts of the consumer's place of residence have jurisdiction.

This text is a translation of the Portuguese version. If there is any difference between versions, the Portuguese version prevails.
